I feel bruised

Just got off the phone with the free attorney that IDES contracts with. Her name is Lydia. I don't like her. I'm obviously just a number to her. She spent the entire time on speakerphone, and was very short with me when I was unable to hear her. She was also very condescending. "So you're saying that you never confronted them about the ad?" Nevertheless, advice from an annoying person who knows the law is better than no advice at all, so I'll take it.

I have to get my file from unemployment and fax it to her by 3:00 on Monday. Guess where I'm going on Monday morning. Bleh. I still think I have a case, but I just wanna cry now.

(((big big warm understanding hugs and love)))

I love you. I'd have felt the same way. IMHO, there was *no* way to confront them on the job posting online; they'd have probably canned you on the spot to avoid answering the question and the lies they told you about your job not being in jeopardy.

They suck. Big time. sending out prayers and good thoughts...

I figured that in your dealings with gov't agencies etc, you had encountered much the same thing.

I was really rattled after I hung up, especially as she began the call with "We had to call you three times and your phone was busy". Well, I got two calls (including one from Rob) to which I said "Ican'tstayonthelineI'mwaitingforunemploymenttocall
canIcallyoubackafter3?" and Immediately got off the line.

But I went out in the sun to the fabric store, and Nan and Josie are on the way for fittings and pizza, so it will get better.
