the heap of fabric wasn't as big as I had feared.

Have enough info to make educated estimate on one gown. The other one I think that the fabric is too shiny to pass muster, so I want her to check with her local costume mistress to make sure before I try and write or draft anything.

Nice cozy afternoon with Rob - $4.99 Dominicks special pizza, and sofa-flaking. Of course, only we would find discussing topics like the political effects of WWII, the Crimean War and the Charge of the Light Brigade, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island, the Chicago flood of '92, and the Shroud of Turin to be a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

He also tried to get my sound card working - no dice. It's an onboard, and it looks like it's fried. Gonna hafta get me a cheapie one & slot it in there. I took a Sharpie, and now the 'e machines" logo on the front of the CPU reads "poop-e machines"!

[livejournal.com profile] tarsa arrived late but safely, and she and[livejournal.com profile] jmthane are having dinner before heading to the studio. (I don't have to go tonight) Luckily they kept the squeeing to a minimum. (I hid anyway).
