People are stoopid
Jun. 15th, 2004 02:44 pmObviously after last week, we are looking for a legal secretary.
I'm going through the submissions. I can't believe that people who expect to be considered for a legal secretary position can't seem to figure out what "Please submit cover letter and resume as an MS Word attachment." I've got 8 resumes here with no cover letter, 5 with the resume in the text of the e-mail, and at least 5 calls (it also says 'no calls please') from people who say "the e-mail address to respond to isn't in the ad". There are no fewer than three places in the CareerBuilder listing that say "click here for e-mail".
Also got 2 with 3 different font sizes in the same block of resume text. And please, if you claim to be proficient in a software package, PLEASE at least learn to spell it correctly. And a response e-mail like "capricorngoddess###@ yahoo" os only going to make me laugh at you.
On my end, UIC pulled my resume off CareerBuilder and we are e-mailing trying to arrange an interview time. (go me!)
