Exact wording on the proposed amendment

From CNN:

Senators will begin debate July 12 on the proposed federal amendment. It states that "marriage in the United States shall consist only of the union of a man and a woman. Neither this Constitution, nor the constitution of any state, shall be construed to require that marriage or the legal incidents thereof be conferred upon any union other than the union of a man and a woman."

Yep - looks like discrimination AND pre-emption of state's powers all rolled into one!

Had an interview last night at UIC - seemed to go well but I never can tell about these things. Will know by Friday. All crossed fingers are welcomed.

Have interview tomorrow lunch. Have to call recruiter Friday to see about update on maybe another job (client out of town)

Have jury duty Friday. Boring but at least I won't be HERE. Went to library for many good bookses to occupy me sitting aroung jury room all day. Wish I could take my sewing - must get a little farther along on tarsa's outfit before fitting this weekend. Skirts & bodice are cut - must cut chemise & cap and do basic assembly for fitting.

Sigh - looking less and less like I can get a bunny. I'm not home enough to occupy one (and bored bunnies are destructo-bunnies), and don't really have enough room for 2. waaah.
