Today is the first day....
Sep. 7th, 2004 02:14 pm...of the rest of my life. For reals.
For me, faire is basically over for the season. I may have another gig in mid-October, but that's 6 weeks away. So today came the time to bleach my chemises and petticoats white again, and sort out all the stuff that needs minor repairs. Got some pulled seams, and a few hooks or snaps coming loose. I even took my hoops out of the casings so I could give that a thorough wash. Then the garment rack comes down and everything goes back in boxes in the closet.
I got the check for $1139 today, with another 400-ish coming later this week. That is enough to pay Sept rent, pay my mom back for the August rent she loaned me, and still stock up on groceries. I am actually looking forward to eating a vegetable or two for a change.
Now planning begins in earnest for the SanFran trip in a few weeks. I have hotel and plane reservations, but need to nail down visitation dates with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
that_david and capi, as well as crash space with rmjwell. I still have to go pick out what I am going to wear to the wedding. But having seen the picture of what the maid of honor is wearing (short strapless horzontal wide striped in lt green and black, with 5 bows up the back) it's a safe bet that no one will be looking at me! so jfco13, you're off the hook for a shopping trip.
