I will not have my laptop till Saturday, so I'm updating from the business center.
I'm in class 9-6 daily (though with lots of breaks) and have HR stuff some of the evenings. I have all day Sunday off, and am hoping to get together with some locals then.
Capi said I'd be "wall to wall busy". That's not too far in my room. I could cross it in 6 steps if the bed wasn't in the way. I have a huge bathroom, though no tub, and minimal cable. Luckily I brought lots of DVDs. And once I get the laptop I have high-speed access.
I have managed to find my way around here quite well, and think I know the shortcuts better than my instructor. The half of the class that followed me got to the lunchroom before him.
So, I am thinking and memorizing a LOT. But physically this will turn out to be a good rest. I can go to bed early-ish a lot, and the food is excellent. I'm probably beter nourished than my home budget allows, and am eating my veggies regularly. I found the sports center, and may start easy treadmill and machine stuff to start getting my strength back.
And I've even found someone to hang out with. De Nae from Minneapolis is on the concom of ConVergence (So Rill, I expect all the dirt) and knows a lot of people who work Shakopee, so we know a lot of people in common.
But I want to stop back by my room and then get another cup of tea before mt 1:00 class so I'll sign off. Y'all be good now, and I'll have more on Saturday.
