Transworld Loot
Mar. 13th, 2006 03:30 pmRan into a bunch of people I know. Sofi was there as was Jeff Semmerling with his masks. I noticed several vendors of either handcrafted or imported traditional Carnivale-style masks. Pillaged Village had a display, but they were not there - something about a family illness. I hope everyone is OK. Ran into Bob Turner's old partner from the Fremont Faire - noticed him looking at me with the classic "where do I know her from" expression.
Fewer of the dark costume folks are willing to sell show samples nowaday. I attribute it to the fact that their products are now considered more "mainstream" and less outre, so they are more often heading straight off to other shows. So this years haul was a little more on the girly side of things than usual.
So not a bad 2 hours all told.

- One plum/black little victorian-ish hat, with lace and a little bird on it - $29. Yeah, now I need to design a new outfit to go with it...
- One ruffled tiered patchwork skirt from silk sari fabric. Yeah I could make it myself, but I hate gathering. $12
- One Indian rayon chemise-y thing, rust-colored $24 Should go really well with the wrap-vest I picked up last year
- One purple/silver rhinestone bracelet - to go with hat see above. $12
- One blue sparkly hair clip - $5
So not a bad 2 hours all told.
