"Sleep is for wimps"
Mar. 15th, 2006 10:29 amMaybe, but then I've always admitted my wimpdom.
I was B.E.A.T. after running around all weekend, and Monday evening was taken up by the difficult task of going downtown and drinking free Drambuie and getting a massage. So while I slept like a slightly-tipsy rock, I still was still in the hole a bit, sleep wise. And I have learned to my dismay that sleep-debt charges a really high interest rate nowadays.
So I worked a bit late last night (to make up my mid-day Transworld excursion time), and headed straight home. Took a nice shower and scrubbed with a new body-mud-polish-glop that I got from Yves Rocher's Spa line. Then had dinner while the tub was running and a soak with their "Re-Mineralizing extract" . All sorts of slightly-unbelievable claims of 'detoxification' and 'revitalizing' aside, I did feel soft and smell pretty afterwards. Slathered with white tea body creme and crawled into bed. Looked thru assorted catalogues for a bit, then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I think I was out cold by 9.
This morning featured free breakfast in the building lobby where I munched from the major food groups of grapes, tinymuffins, donuts, and eggy-things-in-burritos. So I'm fighting a bit of food-coma here but otherwise feel pretty good.
