Good news: I still have a job
Bad news - they know that I was truly sick because 2 other people (including the client services manager) are out sick today.

Employment is good

At lunch today, I went for a walk around the block (to get my lungs working a little bit), then spent the rest of the time curled up in a comfy chair at Starbucks with a book and a white chocolate mocha.

Yay for having a bit of spare cash for life's little indulgences!
