I was afraid of this
Aug. 18th, 2006 09:42 amWhen I clobbered my wrist yesterday I was afraid that the swelling/bruising wouldn't show up until the next day. (I hit the outside of my right wrist just in that dent above the wristbones - the wrist equivalent of the funny bone - on the railing as I slipped on the stairs)
I was right. Woke up this morning with half my right hand alternating between numbness and pain.
I'm pretty sure it's just swelling in a small but vital area pressing on stuff and that with rest and NSAIDS it will be fine. But now it's bad enough that I spent 20 minutes this AM trying to remember what box I packed my wrist splints in, and then giving up and buying another one at Walgreens.
So I'm clonking around with the big lumpy thing on my wrist again. whee!.
