Today I learned how to be invisible!

Ride the CTA in grubby bleach-pocked clothes carrying a bucket of tools and cleaning equipment.

NO ONE will look at you. They will actively go out of their way to avoid looking at you, or noticing you at all. Which can be really interesting when you are standing up front so as to allow room for the 2 wheelchair-users and they have to walk right by you to get off the bus.

OMG it's a (shudder) cleaning lady! She's icky and i'll bet she doesn't speak English....

Sigh.

That said, I have one more run tomorrow - to mop one more time and take the last bag of assorted stuffs and the broom and mop. Then I'll be officially all moved out of the old place.

Super at the new place picked up my list o' stuff that I've come across that needs work - like the fact that the double sink in the kitchen only really drains from one side to t'other - at least for the 1st 10 minutes. And I'd like to at least start out with a working battery in the smoke detector....
