Memo from Stressville

I showed up to a rehearsal that everyone else thought was canceled. Yay for having a free afternoon, but boo for getting all damp and wasting time while I tried to figure out where everyone was. And my knee hurts.

Frisco is still pretty stressy. He did fluff up into a bunny slipper and disapprove at me for a while this morning, but any movement or unexpected sound sends him running to hide in his litterbox.

Meanwhile, Pepper's been digdigdigging behind the couch and eating my stray sheet music. Good thing I memorized 'Casino Czardas'. Apparently the violin part is the yummiest.

Mmm - Boston Creme Pie for $2. (The Sara Lee factory outlet is across the street from the vet)

Still no word from the Bonding Coordinator at Red Door, but I know that on Sundays they all troop down to a shelter in the southwest burbs to help them deal with a large number of rabbits seized in a neglect case - they can't place them till the courts sign off and it's taking forever, so the Red Door folks go down to feed/clean/play with all the buns waiting in limbo. If I'd known I had today off, I'd have gone with them.

Guess I should get off my butt and finish the handwork on Dave's costume....

Frisco is going back

I just talked with our bonding coach and she agrees that it's not going well at all. Bites mean that she meant to hurt him.

I'll be bringing Frisco back to the shelter early this week. He's such a sunny little bunny that I think he's a cinch to get adopted soon. That's what I have to keep telling myself.

I know I did my best, but I still feel horribly guilty. *cries*
Why does my bunny have to be such a bitch?

We're going to give everyone a break for 2-3 weeks, and then there will be a couple of new boys to meet. We might even try Frisco again if he's still there, but if he has really developed a fear of her then he needs some other place.
