that wasn't too awful

Aside from the basic shabbiness of having to go to the dentist at all, this wasn't all that bad. The office even CALLED me to tell me "hey - we're running 15 minutes late"! When was the last time someone did thatf ro you?

He used a topical before the shot, and then added another shot just to be sure. Pretty much the only thing that hurt was that my lip got pinched at one point, and my jaw aches from holding it open for that long. Even though there was "more decay that I thought" after he got the old filling out, it really didn't hurt at all - just noisy and annoying.

I have to go back in two weeks to get the 'real' thing put in - now I have a temp - but ya know - could have been a lot worse. Yay for Aetna dental!

now the anaesthetic is wearing off and my face is all sparkly.
