Hanging out on the 4th?

The friend who usually hosts something on the 4th may not, so I'm thinking of picking up the slack. I have no BBQ facilities nor a yard, but I have AC, two couches, a small vid collection, and a bunny who likes people. (particularly the sloppy kind who drop food) There is also a beach nearby, so that's an option.

Anyone up for an afternoon thingie? I'm not usually big on going to splodystuff shows, so we'd probably disperse post dindin.

(This is mostly prompted by the fact that I'm likely to be traveling nearly every weekend from mid-August through mid-October, and would like to actually SEE people while I still have the chance).

exciting Friday

Had to buy a new purse at lunch. My main purse got tar or something on the bottom (and hence all over a new white striped skirt - boo), and when I went to get my back-up one I discovered that it is now "bunny-approved".
