I wuz useful today
Jul. 10th, 2007 09:09 pm- I ordered some Dell equipment using my old Apogee Strategies Procurement Manager skilz.
- After I'd been told "you can't do it that way" by our IT contractor.
- THEN I taught him how to do it properly - and extra brownie points for not pointing out that the website was printed on the bottom of each quote in bold type until AFTER I explained the process :)
Yesterday I considerably improved the performance on our VP's computer (removing 2MG of crap data and 1.5G of her predecessors games from her system helped a lot, as did a defrag - which took 2 hours to run). *giggles* and I'm a LOT cheaper per hour than the IT guy.
I got the boss's FL driver's license renewed online in 5 minutes too. Wooty woot woot.
Went to the Pulmo for follow-up this morning. I'm doing MUCH better on the FloVent. We're adding a nasal steroid to take the allergy symptoms a bit more, on the theory that decreasing the general level of inflammation in my system is a good thing. My bloodwork from the last visit shows a slightly higher level of some kind of inflammation by-product that they like to see. I go back in 3 months unless something changes. That will be mid-October which is smack in the middle of mold season so I'll have a real test of the meds to report on.
I replied to a Craigslist post about a woman looking to rehome her neutered male lop-bun. We're going to set up a bunny-date on the off-chance he and Pepper hit it off. He looks a lot like her, but in browns and creams rather than black and white. Some people theorize that buns who look similar are more likely to get along, so it's at least worth a try. She tried to bond him once with a mini-rex but he was too territorrial. Two grumpy territorrial lop bunz - It could be good or it could be a flaming disaster - we'll see. At least both of the humans are somewhat experienced with bunny-dating. And there is now only ONE male at Red Door and he isn't neutered, so we're not likely to get another round in until fall.
I was writing a thing about how I was worried because Pepper hadn't come out from behind the couch all evening, but she just came out and hopped into the kitchen for veggies so never mind. Silly Wabbit.
