She ate another candle.
A few weeks ago, when I was doing my first real post-Faire-season cleaning, I found a plain cream-colored candle with suspiciously rounded ends. The edges were all obviously nibbled. It wasn't even a scented candle! It was a plain one I got at Target!
Since I had no idea when this had happened, I kept an eye on the litterbox for the next few days but everything seemed normal.
While I was rearranging stuff on Sunday I found a taper that had fallen behind the couch, also with noticable nibble marks.
Well, when I set up the new "table" (a vintage storage trunk with a tablecloth on it) I put a nice arrangement of candles on it. Got home this evening and realized that apparently the table is accessible to a curious and determined bunny, as the mostly-burned jasmine-scented pillar seems to have been thoroughly sampled.
Well, I STILL want candles on this table, and a couple of years ago my mom gave me a folding brass basket/bowl thing that seems to resemble one of those expanding space sphere things. It's mostly sat around unused since then. It seems to make a nice candle-cage.
We'll see.....
