My guess is that this hunk o' birdflesh will be thawed sometime tomorrow.
(It came with no instructions and the company's website didn't have any either. Googling said it'd take 4 days in the fridge or 7 hours in cold water. I put it in cold water for a coule of hours last night and then back in the fridge.)
Now what?
I'll probably hit the grocery store for some taters and veggies, and have a nice meal (once I figure out how long to heat the thing - googling is producing a lot of recipes for actually smoking a turkey breast but not a lot on what to do with it afterwards)
But other than a year's worth of sammiches, what else can I do with this thing? It is really an intimidating amount of meat for a one-person household. I know I'll divvy it up into managable portions in little bags and freeze.
Anyone got any good smoked turkey recipes?
