Feb. 13th, 2008 06:17 pmAs is typical for at least one side of her family (we are always early for EVERYTHING) little Zoe Zdrodowski turned up not only nearly 2 weeks before she was originally due but nearly 24 hours before she was scheduled to be induced!
She's 6 lbs 14 oz and 19 inches long. Word is still out as to whether she will have her mom's Jewish nose, her dad's blobby ski-snoot, or some unholy combination of the two.
My mother started in with the "and at 9:00 the contractions were so many minutes apart and..." and I went "Mom - you DO realize you're speaking German as far as I'm concerned, right?". (I also reminded her that she wasn't getting one of those from me)
So anyway - welcome Zoe! This is the only time in your life that you will be "first" for anything, so enjoy it while you can!
