Well, I'm not dead yet
Feb. 26th, 2008 11:37 amI hauled my nebulizer to work but forgot the meds that go in it - doh! I was able to take the inhaled steroid, and I have the prednisone and the zithromax for once I eat something.
Generally I'm tired but mostly clear-headed. Panting a little when walking to the copier but without that crushing weight of fatigue from the last week. Slowly working my way through the pile on my desk.
The boss who would be most likely to give me crap for being off so long has been off since last Friday - her 4-yr-old daughter has just been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes so they are still trying to get her stabilized. She's going to be OK but it is going to be a big lifestyle adjustment for the family. I can't help hoping this will make her a bit more accepting of the issues of people with chronic illnesses. (This is the one who said "wow I wish I could stay in bed all weekend!").
Trying to decide what to have for lunch - weighing "nutrition" versus "my ability to stand in line". Maybe sushi? I dunno. I had a V-8 fusion on the way in - that's almost like vegetables, right?
