Saturday on the way to the hospital, a lady hit my foot with her cart.
On the way home a kid kicked me right at the center of the injury.
Today a kid and mom dropped their snack box on my foot - guess where the corner hit?

I came home early because I had to re-wrap the ankle twice and my toes were STILL going numb.

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to do THAT

I sprained the outside of my ankle. The foot turned inward, so all the damage was on the outside of the foot, pretty much from the ankle bone down. That's where the swelling has been, and that's there the bruising has been showing up. Pretty much.

I say "Pretty much" because I have a nice round splot of bruising on the INSIDE of my foot - about an inch straight down and a touch back of my inside ankle bone.

Wow - I have so much damage/bruising that it's coming out the other side!
Wierd (and slightly scary).
Checking with Dr. Internet, it's not uncommin but indicates a more severe injury.

I have a follow-up appt with my doc next Tuesday (a little longer than the week recommended, but I had a pulmo appt inthe same building that morning so it seemed more efficient to do it that way).
