I finished the fronts of the drawers and painted the frame of that carved mirror I got on craigslist. I don't think it wanted to be painted because it gave me a couple of nasty splinters. It was made in indonesia and the lady I got it from got it at an estate sale in Atlanta many years ago. But now that it's all gloss black it looks very goth-girly which is what I had in mind.
Everything was spray-enamel so I didn't get nearly as much paint on myself as yesterday :) I think I might want to get the same shade in a brushy-paint and add another coat to the drawers (over the two I already did) because they get banged around a lot. Or maybe a clearcoat might be cheaper - we'll see. The contrast of the satin-black outside and the gloss blue drawers is pretty neat. All the hardware is silver. And I'm glad I didn't decide to to do any detail on the bedframe - most of it is covered up and this way the focus is on the bedding.
