Con, Set and Match
Sep. 21st, 2009 09:38 pmBarring any unforeseen cancellations, the Windycon costume panels are now closed. I will be forwarding the details to programming tomorrow. Still need a couple of blurbs and program stuff, but I have all the people. I'll likely have to do 3 myself, just to make the numbers come out - but I only allowed one to be "because I want to be on that one" - the others I'll have to do some prep work for.
Turned out to be slightly less than half "regional" and slightly more than half "local" people. In addition to members of the Chicagoland Costumers Guild we have visitors from the Airships Archon (Cincinnatti) and Zepherus (Michigan). My Masquerade Judges are evenly split between the three groups and I'll probably end up with the chair of next year's CostumeCon in Milwaukee as MC (just waiting on his confirmation). By the end of the weekend I'll have a contact list out to the panelists so they can actually contact the people who they are going to be working with if anyone wants to plan stuff. I also can't wait to see some of these people meet - it's going to be a blast.
