On the way to the Garden Group meeting on Tuesday, I was passed by three southbound flying campaign signs and a small plastic pumpkin. We lost some large branches off one of the trees in the parkway, but it wasn't one of the "garden" ones. I pulled in/took down everything from the deck garden over the weekend because we were scheduled to powerwash and seal the decks. The windowsill cuttings have been doing well.

Today temps were in the 40s and the heat is finally on for reals. Set up and turned on the humidifier as well.

My house is even more of a wreck than usual because I've been hard at work for Teslacon. I've got much of the content for the ship's newsletter written, and am just waiting for some info from some late cast members and some scheduling info to start putting together the actual issues. The number of people involved in the show who will be lining up to smack on particular local "figure in the scene" is growing.

The jacket came together (after putting the sleeve lining in wrong three times), and I think I'll be making a skirt to go with it - probably not a bustle one, just a simple walking skirt. I'll probably use the tiny hat I borrowed and the jacket as my character identifying marks while still being able to change my clothes out. Still not sure what I'm going to wear for the ball - that will depend on how well the new brocade corset comes out. It's about halfway done. Tonight I finished my Reporter's Notebook and a small purse to carry room key, inhaler, passport, etc in. I also have several Cryptic Clues to give to interested parties as well as a series of posts for the con's Steampunk Empire and Facebook pages in order to build interest in the days leading up to the con. Tomorrow's is "With just one week remaining to the highly anticipated launch of Royal Britannia Airships' Explorer II, security at Nottingham Field remains tight. Which only makes sense, considering what happened to the Explorer I..."

Received a box of stuff from an online friend whose beloved rabbit recently passed away. She's not ready to even think about another bun right now, and she knew I could use the leftover food. She also send a bunch of dishes and nail clippers as well as some toys. As I expected, Pepper is utterly uninterested in any toys unless they smell like food. I checked with Toni and the Red Door shelter buns will be happy to take them. I ran them through the dishwasher on 'sanitize' just to make sure they were super-clean.

Have an interview tomorrow with an outdoor advertising company. Getting a little concerned because I go tmy commission as an election judge but not the info on whether I'm the key judge (and more importantly, where and when I need to go to get the ESC key if I am). Hope it comes tomorrow because pickup is Saturday.
