I suppose this is progress

I've moved beyond frantic sob attacks and into a sort of quiet (and slightly leaky) melancholy. Didn't really do much "Holiday" stuff, as I just wasn't up to it. That's one point in favor of being alone this weekend - I don't have to pretend to anyone that everything is all right.

I never have gotten around to watching 'A Christmas Story', and now I'll always associate it with her, since it was her favorite movie. Won't be sitting down to it any time soon.

I'm pondering 'Santa Claus Conquers The Martians', but might stay with my rereading all the Vorkosigan novels. I read 'Cryoburn' and then had the urge to read them all again. I'm up to 'Komarr'.

All my various presents arrived in time (Except for stealthbunny's but I knew that would be late). I'm already getting grief for getting my neice and nephew noisy musical instruments. Oh well - besides the egg shakers were on his amazon list. So I just added a nose-flute and a kazoo to the mix. Apparently Zoe is already rocking the kazoo. Matt got 3 new teeth from Santa so he's rather cranky about the whole thing.

Been playing with my new Roku box. Added a bunch of private channels like NASAtv and an anime channel which is pretty cool. Their holiday channel also has a Yule Log option, but with no music. So I've been reading "by the fire' as it were.

I'm considering venturing out tomorrow to his the sale at Lush. This time of year they have buy one get one or two free stuff, so it's the only time of year I can really justify the expenditure.
