So here I am again. No job, no prospects, and an increasing number of short term jobs that are going to make it harder and harder to find a real one.
I have no intention of putting this last job on my resume. I was there less than 3 months and no-one neeeds to know about it. I would rather have a long unemployment stretch on my resume over a series of short jobs. If they ask what what I was doing, I talk about my various freelance clients. In your case, you can talk about your singing gigs. BTW, programming presentaitons at conventions count as Public Speaking.
It's ok to have long gaps between employment as long as you can convince them you were a) being productive, b) actively looking for a job and c) not sitting on your tush all day watching Judge Judy.
