another slow day at work

wendyzskia few moments of abject panic when our 'net connection AND VOIP went down due to a Speakeasy issue. But everything came back about 30 minutes later.
But otherwise not much. Had time to watch a DVD on my computer even. Mirrormask. Cool-looking but not very coherent.
Although if anyone ever wants to do a Shadow Queen outfit, I can tell you that she buys at least some of her masks from MaskItalia. I recognized two of them (the gold with the black/green feathers and the black metal domino with the swoopy-thing on one side) from the displays at TransWorld - Cuz I almost bought myself the black metal one on Sample Day!
Movies tonight at J&J's but I think I'm too far behind on costume stuff to justify going. I have too much stuff to get done for Marcon next weekend, and getting sick ate up most of my prep time. I was cutting out bodice fabric at the laundromat lat night! And we have a gig on Sunday - a fundraiser for the local Sea Scouts. So there goes Sunday afternoon. Guess tonight and tomorrow I chain myself to the sewing machines.
BTW - Minstrosity will be performing at the Wisconsin Renaissance Faire in Chippewa Falls WI - Near Eau Claire - the SECOND two weekends in July. I'm looking forward to a new venue, AND Teatro and Michelle/Columbina/Stupina will be there. I've wanted to meet her (and Baby Stupina) for the longest time! Pssst - MN folks - it's not too far from the Twin Cities, ya know - and our hotel has a hot tub.....
EDIT: Aargh! Good thing I wasn't planning on movie-ing...I'm still at work at 6:10. I NEEDED a quote to order today. Once guy not in office and didn't change his e-mail or phone message. Competitor had SBC accidentally shut down/delete all their e-mails so they never responded to me - I zeroed out and the poor Purchasing Manager helped me put a partial quote together via telephone. (I ended up FAXING the PO back since I didn't trust e-mail to get there in time) AND my software vendor accidentally shipped the software I ordered to be Overnighted for Monday via PRIORITY MAIL, and now seems to have gone home for the day. GAH! I need a drink.....
