Dear Wendy,
I loved your story of Pepper's travels! I think it's great the two of you are having such great adventures together. It reminded me of a time that Sedgewick and I travelled together:
I took her on a flight to visit my mom for the xmas holiday (on one of the smaller planes that holds about 50 people). She was in a soft-sided carrier that fit under the seat. I was all settled in for the flight and just beginning to read the inflight magazine as the plane began to taxi down the runway. I then heard this man's voice from a few rows back saying "Is that a bunny?". I knew that couldn't be a good sign. I looked down to see her her fluffed up cottontail taking off up the main aisle of the plane! I was completely mortified - she had chewed a hole in the soft carrier and decided to greet the passengers. The flight attendant freaked out and thought we were going to have to ground the
plane. Luckily the pilot was calmer and told everyone to put their hands down and grab her when she ran by. Another passenger caught her and I returned her to her carrier. I had at least had the foresight to bring duct tape with me and we patched up the carrier so there were no further escapes. She sure looked pleased with herself though!
We've also had a few adventures at hotels (watch out for phone cords) and even one at the Smithsonian Air and Space museum (FYI, even though there isn't a sign with a picture of "no bunnies" on it, they still kind of frown on rabbits coming inside).
