Hoo rah for Santiano

wendyzskiTonight was the poster/pizza/program-folding party for the Chicago Maritime Festival tomorrow. Good fun, good booze, good music, good times. I did a lot of program stuffing and sang "Dramamine" and sang along with a bunch of others.
Tomorrow is the actual festival. Looks like in addition to the All Hands Sing-in, the Sing-Out, and my 10:30 set with the OTS Sea Music group, I'll be working as the Room Manager in the Trustees conference room. jcw_da_dmg for breaks, and I get to be there for the Bawdy Song class! (I also am the one who has to enforce the "over 18 only" policy). I'm hoping to get some work done on learning some stuff for the Durty Nellie's gig while I'm sitting there - not all the classes in there are as interesting as that last panel.
Then a few hours for dinner and then the evening concert at 7. I'll be in the finale. The weather is supposed to be god-awful tomorrow afternoon and get worse from there, so we're not sure what that will do to attendance.
Have to skip the Sunday afternoon open shanty sing because we really need the rehearsal time before St. Pat's. Poo for missing it, but yay for having a damned good reason to rehearse!
