The suck continues

In addition to being cranky and sleep-deprived from the wonderful combination of early-daylight-sucking time and fun with prednisone...

I had to go to the post office for work on the way, and it started pouring rain. My umbrella died a sad demise about 3 months ago, so I had to run into Walgreens and spend $15 on a piece of crap in order not to drown. And my shoes are wet.

Then after waiting 20 minutes for a bus, I spilled green tea all down my white shirt. I look like my right boob peed on my tummy.

Then I got to the office to discover that between people being out-as-usual and people being not-yet-used-to-getting-up-in-the-dark, there was no one in the office. This was bad because I do not have an office key yet, so I sat on the floor in the hallway for about 45 minutes waiting for someone official to come and rescue me. I opened the mail with my pocketknife and then tried not to fall asleep on the carpet.

It's only 10:30. Can I go home yet?

Man, i hate pred. It's very useful when it's needful, but it still sux big time. Dunno 'bout you, but for me, the sux part lasts about six weeks after the pred part is over. *snort*

Well, I NEEDED it. I was down to about 33%lung capacity. It makes it a teeny bit more difficult to go to sleep, and wakes me up a lot though I am always able to go right back to sleep. But it's probably interfering with my REM or something. I can even feel short of breath from having to start stepping down the dosage yesterday - we'll see how today goes.

But everyone seems to be having a grumpy day too so we're all trying to be nice to each other because all hell is breaking loose.
