Nothing much going on here....Went to bed early last night to make sure I was caught up from the weekend. I'm also upping to 2 multivitamins on Mondays, under the "can't hurt and might help" theory. I soooo cannot afford to get sick now.

Pepper is grumpy with me for leaving her this weekend. When I go to pet her, she accepts it for a little bit, and then hops away while foot-flicking. (Foot Flicking is when buns hop like they are trying to shake something off their feet, and it's the bunny equivalent of flipping someone off) Hey - not my fault - if she wasn't such a little bitch-bunny, she could be happpily snuggling with a husbun of her very own by now.

Tonight I HAVE to do laundry - I don't want to leave damp and muddy garb crumpled in the basket any longer, and it has to be dry enough to pack tomorrow. I've also got a few minor alterations to make tomorrow- the green kirtle skirt needs to come up a bit in the front as I'm stepping on it a lot. And I want to make little "Dance Musician" favors for the kids playing with us, now that they've survived their Trial By Fire?strike> Water, as it were.

I just sent off a message to MiRF management about someone who came through for us in a big way on Sunday. Saturday afternoon, we discovered that somehow we had no melody part on one of the numbers, and the recorder group hasn't had time to learn/arrange two of the others. So the sound was a little thin and awfully hard for the dancers to hear. (Even without the bagpipes 30 feet away at the 5:00 set but that's another story entirely - they got that fixed for Sunday) I went looking to the other recorder groups to see if we could beg/borrow/steal ourselves another musician. Well, Finn is a kid who can't be more than 13, and his mom "volunteered" him to come play tambourine for us, so I could then double up on the melody with Fred. (I had to learn the Ronde in a few hours without sheet music, but that also is another story). He came to both of our afternoon sets, kept tempo pretty darned well, and it helped us out a bunch. I don't know if they still give "stars" for people who step up in a big way, but I wanted to be sure that they knew how big a help he had been.
