At home I have the photo of the NEXT year's effort - a cotton calico (stripes AND flowers) unboned bodice made from the Folkwear Dirndl pattern. worn over a rayon gauze dress nicked from the HS costume shop. It had a regular shirt collar, 3 gathered tiers, and was trimmed with rickrack.
The next year(last before I left for college) featured a tiered calico skirt, a short-sleeved gauze blouse, and a black bustier. I was soooo cool, you know. The photo shows me lounging in the Queen's throne (while she was at the joust) flanked by two guy friends with wall-hanger swords. One was wearing a leather vest & headband, shorts, and lace-up boots. The other was a skinny "barbarian" in black plastic-rimmed glasses and a rather unfortunate-looking fake fur one-shoulder tunic straight out of the Flintstones.
