as the weekend drips to an end

wendyzskiI was a good girl and napped most of today. Then I went down to Borders on Michigan Avenue to wrap prezzies for the Red Door Shelter.
It was awfully slow - people were pretty much shopped out by that time. The rest rooms looked like a bomb went off in them and the calendar section was mostly on the floor. I don't want to thinnk about the crowds that caused that. Still, we raised some money and awareness, and if that guy I talked to ends up getting his 3 yr old holland lop spayed, then I consider it time well spent.
The heat in my apartment is working a bit too well. Last year I had trouble getting my living room above 70, but I've had the window open all day. I guess when they fired things up at the beginning of this season they got whatever was stuck all blown out. I hope it lasts.
