It has been snowing since yesterday morning. Really, it can stop any time now thanks. I'm done with this whole 'winter' thing. No one shoveled their slushy sidewalks last week, so they all froze solid, and now they are covered with *just* enough snow so that you can't actually see the icy parts. Also my bus this morning had no heat. I am a sad and frostbitten panda.
An 8:30 AM interview, a full work day, and a 6:30 interview makes for a day that is TOO DAMNED LONG!
A couple of weeks ago, I got a bunch of little pirate guys at Target. They are like little army guys, but pirates. However, I am a slob, and I knocked the Bowl O'Pirates over, and apparently didn't rescue them all. My poor Roomba keeps randomly coughing them up on the rug.
BTW - someone on one of my rabbit groups is fostering a bunny (Jersey Wooley) named "Roomba" - how cute is THAT?
I am working my way through Season 2 of the new Doctor Who. Seriously - why did no one make me watch this sooner!?!? I am currently debating as to whether "Ignore the shooty little dog-thing!" is the best line in television history, or whether I prefer "I just snogged Madame Du Pompadour!". Also, I would like John Barrowman for brunch, plz (lightly buttered, on toast, with a side of strawberry jam)
Sigh - to pirate or not to pirate? The theme of Capricon this weekend is "pirates". Hovever, having been into pirates long before pirates were cool (does anyone ELSE remember when the Cap at the Purple Hotel was taken over by "pirates"? That was what - 10 years ago?) I'm kind of over it by now. After you've gone through a faire day with near two dozen Captain Jack Sparrows and 40-50 drunk partons shouting "aar" and making bad booty jokes? MORE than *done*. So do I pirate up my usual faire stuff and try to find the fun in it, or do I just wear what I usually do and stand around being mildly irritated all weekend?
