Insight

[livejournal.com profile] gaijinjohn made an interesting comment last night about my job history, and it was something I hadn't actually realized.

Every single job I've had since 2001 has fallen into one of two categories.

  • Being at a "traditional" business, and being the closest thing they have to an IT person

  • Being at an IT company and being the closest thing they have to a "real" business person.

So what does that say about me - hrm.

  • That I like to work independently

  • That I enjoy being the 'problem-solver" for the office.

  • That I prefer to work alone as opposed to being part of a team.

  • That rather than let things sit I prefer to knuckle down and get them dealt with.

Interesting....
