I did useful things

wendyzskiTonight I shortened 4 pairs of new pants and one of old pants that I never got around to before.
I also shortened 2 dresses, which was a little more difficult, since they were handkerchief-hem dresses and I had to shorten them from the empire waist instead of the bottom. AND I ironed two shirts!
And I combined 2 recipes to make chicken-cream-cheese turnovers in filo dough. I bought the filo a few months back to make something with the Giant Holiday Bird, but never got around to it. And I didn't feel like making "real" pastry, so I folded up the filling I made last night in the filo instead. It probably won't freeze as well as piecrusty-stuffs but it was in the fridge and it was kind of fun to play with.
I want to run the vacuum a bit, or at least sweep so I can put the rugs I washed back down. We're going back up to 86 and up starting tomorrow and I'd rather not seal up a dusty stinky apartment.
