Hmmm, you might not feel the lighting was so urgent if you didn't *know* that hookers and dealers were already familiar with the basement!! They built the porch without electric for lighting at all!!! It is going to be expensive to fix. Sorry about the issues with the new place, and the old place.
Being a homeowner includes lots and lots of worrying about things. More than actually dealing with them. At least from here, it does.
