Right now, the world loves us. We've managed to elect someone who is more interested in adult, intelligent discussion than in playing Cowboy or Army (thus treating the US military as his personal supply of Green Army Men). They all breathed a sigh of relief that we got it right this time. How well we hold on to all that good feeling will depend on what we do with it.
