I hate my physical therapist.
He's treating this like he has unlimited time to correct everythign that is wrong with my posture, which he doesn't. As soon as I'm able to work with out restrictions, the insurance co will stop sending me, and I can't afford the copay to continue on my own.
Telling me that I'm going to end up crippled with sciatica doesn't help either, as this is a therapy vs food kind of choice.
I limped out of there in tears, didn't even get my charge slip from the clerk, and was STILL half an hour late to work.
I also have the lovely task of explaining to HR that these restrictions mean I am going to be unable to do the things I need to get done before the office moves next Friday. I'm not allowed to lift any heavy boxes (and when I asked why that wasn't spelled out in my restrictions, he said it was covered under the "no squatting or kneeling")
I really don't need this right now.

And I plunked down money for a lumbar support that actually works. (Search "Angel Sales PosturePro Lumbar Support" on amazon.com) I had a few cushions...but they just didn't do it for me like this springy thing does. It keeps me sitting on my SITTING BONES and not on my sciatic nerve.
But it's a frustrating kind of pain. :-( I get mild relief from Flexeril...and it's not too expensive.
Your PT is acting like a twink. You will not be crippled with sciatica. Even if it's from a herniated disc (mine is) it WILL resolve with stretching, core strengthening and some sort of NSAID. But like cockroaches...half the battle is making sure it doesn't come back.
