Someone actually found some kind of weird show-chicken (pouffy-headed and bright red/green accents) loose on the street in Chicago last year and it ended up at the Red Door Shelter. Eventually they found someone up in Wisconsin with a farm who took it in.
A couple of years ago there was some kind of domestic duck in there for a while - it crapped all over EVERYTHING!
