Saw this the other day and it sounded nummy. I halved it to these proportions and it was very tasty.

*4 slices of buttered bread, cubed
*3 eggs beaten
*1 cup plus 2 Tbs milk
*1/2 teaspoon salt
*1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
*1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or more, if you like)
*1/2 lb. sausage, browned, drained and cooled
Fold all ingredients together and refrigerate overnight. Pour into ungreased 8x8 dish and bake at 325 for 1 hour or until set and browned.

Oh yeah, I'm a huge fan of Fritattas...make one of some variety or another for any time I have people over, depending on what's in the 'frig.

This looks a lot like the "Bang Eggs" recipe my MIL had in her recipe box, only no sausage and uses Velveeta cubes instead of the shredded cheese. Delicious.

we make a version of this that we call breakfast casserole.. never thought of buttering the bread first. and I have made it with sausage, or ham or bacon and sometimes with all 3! I usually don't add mustard though.. presonal preference. I have once or twice enriched it a bit more by adding in some shredded frozen hashbrowns too. I make this some years for Xmas morning... because I can throw it in when we come down and by the time people need food it might be done lol!
