I'm pretty much done with this whole christmas thing

Got the obligatory holiday call from my mother.

Wasn't 30 seconds when she was telling me how I shouldn't have adopted Winslet because "you can't afford it".  Didn't want to hear about my life, but asked all sorts of questions about my job search.  Sigh.

Fuck this.

Next year, you come to my house, we'll get Chinese take out and watch horrible, badly costumed historical movies and snark on the historical accuracy (or completely lack thereof) of said films.

Amuse yourself a little by thinking if you get the "zombie" job, how much fun you can have by pointing out that it was your fannish background that got the job for you ;)
