It's a game of numbers
I'm putting this here to remind me when I get discouraged from job hunting rejections.
The job I interviewed for today had over 1700 applicants to choose from.
From that, they narrowed things down to 12 candidates to bring in for initial interviews. I was one of them.
Their next step will be to choose 3-5 people from that to interview directly with the CEO.
Therefor, even if I don't get the call-back, I still made odds of less than 1%
(0.7% to be more precise).
That's still pretty impressive.
I need to remember this.
