I feel wierd

I think it's the sudden release of job-hunting and money stress, but man - do I feel wierd today!
Talk about mood-swing-y! I go from tired, headachy, and flaked out on the couch to fidgety and cold-sweat-y in 15 minutes. I never get stage fright, but I am excited and nervous about the new job at the same time. I have the urge to go buy a bunch of new work clothes - I think it's my insecurity showing - there's no point in doing that until I have a better feel for the office 'style' AND get a paycheck or two under my belt.
I guess it's because I've been stressed and numb for so long that I'm getting everything in fast-forward. So, I nap when I feel the need, clean when I feel fidgety, and generally just remember that I can do this, they REALLY wanted me, and I'll be getting many Rob-hugs tonight.

Date: 2004-04-15 11:58 am (UTC)As to the clothing? If you have an admin contact of some kind over there, why don't you ask him/her what the general style of clothing is at work, so you don't have to fret about it? Besides, it'll show that you're conciencious and want to make sure you get off on the right foot.
*HUGS* They really really wanted you! Remember that.

Date: 2004-04-15 12:03 pm (UTC)I have dress pants and nice sweaters for 3-4 days, with 1-hour lunches 3 blocks from a TJ Maxx AND a Marshalls and an unemployment check showing up that Wednesday with which to buy what may be needed.
Just keep telling myself that.
