She wasn't actively trying to get fired, but she certainly was not happy. The position was NOT as it was described to her, she was treated like a glorified file clerk and was basically set up to do an impossible job.
Several times she said "if he fired me today I'd shake his hand", so it's probably a relief.
Plus, I'm going ot be treated like glass for a while because i'm all they have left!
Yep - she was deperately unhappy. She's the kind of person who wants to sit in an office and be told what to type all day. She was miserable with the ever-changing rules around here, and none of her years of litigation secretary experience did her any good. So, now she can take the accelerated bartending course instead of the 6-week oine, and get paid unemployment while she's doing it.
