I hate it when this happens...

We've all done it. You have something in yor hand, and you put it "someplace special", so you'll remember where it is.

And then you never do.

Well, that "special" place? That's where my wallet is.

I came home from the laundromat last night, and distinctly remember taking the wallet out of the fanny-pack, and setting it "someplace". I even remember looking to see how many quarters I had left, and setting those aside in the 'laundry goblet" on my bookshelf.

Fanny pack is on floor, empty. Goblet had quarters in it. Wallet is nowhere to be seen.

grrrr.

nope - laundry all unpacked. Was not wearing pants. (shorts w/no pockets - hence the fanny pack.)

*sigh* This happens to be on a regular basis! Each time I strongly suspect one of the cats.

And then I go back and look all over, increasingly frantically, until I find whateverit is...and then rememberthat I'd gotten distracted by some silly thing and put it (whatever *it* was) down right there.

'Course, then there's the time that one of the cats really does hide something.

I can't win. But I hope you find your wallet!

Oh, no! It's "safe"!! That's what we call it when we put something somewhere so "safe" that it's safe even from US -- even when we want it back!! Now when we do that, we say, "Put this somewhere I can find it when I need it -- NOT somewhere 'SAFE'...!"

Looked there - twice.

Goblet is on corner of bookshelf. It's not on bookshelf, table next to bookshelf, or TV on table next to bookshelf. As far as I can see with wimpy flashlight, it's not behind the table either.
