I am a mamber of the hip_domestics community. It's is for all things home and domestic-related, and I get a lot of useful info from it. And the occasional giggle-fit!

There was a post this evening asking advice for getting rid of mice. As I have fairly frequent rodent-issues myself, I clicked to see what people had to say about it.

On of the replies read:
"the only thing I know of is to get a cat. My husband was infested with mice when I met him, he borrowed my cat for a few weeks and they all left (she killed a few but not many)."

Now, I know what she meant, but now I have this mental image of a guy who has mice peeking out of every pocket and between all the buttons of his clothes!

And now you do too!

Getting to the more concrete trip-planning stuff...Whast if I were to drive up and hang/crash with you on October 3rd (Sunday) - then head off to Capi in teh morning? I remembered she has a few pets...

That should work just fine -- although I should check with my roommates. The important one (the one that owns the house and collects the rent) will be back from a family vacation later this week and I can double-check with him. Any idea of what time on Sunday you would be showing up?

Well, I have a morning brunch at the final wedding-event, and I plan to pick up the car in Palo Alto about 2-3, and then head up there. I can be as quick or as leisurely-tourist about the drive as you need me to be.

I'll have to check first, but mid-afternoon should work just fine. I figure we find something to do and then have dinner.

Out of curiosity, why are you picking up a rental car in Palo Alto, when Palo Alto is a fair bit south of SF?

Yes it is, but it's not so far from "Wedding Central", which is in Menlo Park. The rental place is straight down Camino Real from there.
