I did all the stuff I wanted to today, just condensed a bit.
It's still an hour before sunset, and I'm back at RJ's place ready for a long shower and an early bed. I think this week was just a little to long.
On the other hand, I think I had more fun in Chinatown by myself than I would have on that $40 tour, and I got to spend more on stuff! I wandered around a lot, bought a CD (which I chose by miming musical intruments back and forth with the shopkeeper), some "prepared squid" (which I haven't had the nerve to actually eat) and some small pretties. Had lunch at a place that had a maximum occupancy pf 20 people where I ordered by pointing.
Then to Nihon Machi ('Japan Town') where things were just as foreign but at least I know how to say "hello" and "thank you", and then Land's End and a walk long Ocean Beach.
But I was WIPED by then, so I gae in to the inevitable and went back. Spent some time figuring how to pack everything (I will have a carry-on bag of "things that break"),and as soon as I catch up a bit here I'm for bed. Guess I am old after all.
