I'm not dead yet...

I did in fact go over to Rob's to hide for 36 hours or so. Mainly because I knew I'd just sit in my apt and mope and obsess, so I went to the land of confy-counches and satellite TV and waterbeds and a silly caring man who let me sob all over him and made me laugh and put up with what I wanted to watch on TV and was thrilled to be able to give me a big hickey where it would show.

I had forty-some-odd e-hugs from all you wonderful people, and it meant a lot to me. Two people at my former office have agreed to be my references, and the VP of Distiguished Giving not only wrote me a letter of recommendation but gave it to me to proof! (since I've been proofing all her proposals for months now).

I stopped at the fabric store to pick up all the cream cotton gauze they had on the sale table to crank out a couple of chemises for E-bay to pick up some quick cash. I have had a couple of people inquire about some costume work. Can't do much on the actual job-hunting front (except the Reader ads tonight) for a few more days - need to wait for numbers from ACS (not sure how many PTO days I'm going to get added to last check) before applying for unemployment and the letter of recommendation to come in so I can attach it to stuff. So, I'm thinking of taking the rest of today off too - except for rehersal, of course, and then getting in some cleaning and sewing time this weekend.

Sigh, so I've certainly been better, but I'm less inclined to panic at the moment.
