Shortest faire day ever

The teeny-weeny Cotswolds Renaissance Faire started off in the 40s, made a brave attemps at about 20 minutes of sun, and then the temps started dropping. One merchant left before gate because his tent blew over, and all his stock is glass! There were maybe 15 patrons all together - but we sold a CD! Me - the one who is ALWAYS in the streets between shows? I actually had lunch nin the car because I was so cold! (In spite of wearing tights, wool socks, boots, petticoat, chemise, linen gown, partlet, overbodice, long-sleeved wool jacket, mantle, and a small blanket as a shawl)

We were getting ready to come back out a little before 2 when the promoters finally decided to pack it in. We'll all try again tomorrow! I'm for a hot bath now....

I think I'm finally warm again

Whoa. Getting chilled after a cold that took a week to go away was NOT a good idea.

Frightened by a cough that seemed to be getting "wetter" by the moment, I took my vitamins, piled on some clothes and curled up on the sofa for a nap. Woke up after about 90 minutes, and took a nice hot bath until I was actually sweating again. Then took a nice hit on my anti-inflammatory inhaler, and now I almost feel like I could eat something.

I can NOT get sick again - I have 2 definite and one possible job interviews this week!
