So jfc013 woman-fully laid Siege to Reynaldo at the Wyndham and got him to admit that they screwed up. They had MY card number under HER name and v-v. So a credit is somewhere down the line for me.

However, since this nonsense went through and bounced, I'm out rather a lit of money in ridiculous fees. So I have to go to her house tonight, get a copy of her receipt, and then get with my bank's dispute department to file a claim. Once that winds through, all the fees associated with that charge will go away.

In the meantime nearly $250 of my money is tied up, and I'm going to have late charges on ANOTHER credit card bill that is due Sunday and I can't get at enough of my money to pay. When I called today, all they were able to do is to "put a note" on my account about it.

I so do not need this right now.

I got to gaming tonight, and not one but TWO people offered to loan me the money for the two weeks it will take my bank to sort this mess out, so that I can pay the other bill on time. Not one but TWO people offered to buy me dinner tonight. And someone brought me yummy tea and a chocolate bar big enough to use as a cudgel!

(I spaced it out so I evened out the offers and didn't take too much advantage of any one person)

So while I still have a trip downtown tomorrow morning-ish to pay that credit bill in person, at least there will be no more late fees from any of this, I have the info I need to get it resolved, and borrowed liquid funds to keep me fed while I wait for it to sort itself out.
